Pictures of my garden and of course Jackson

Here is my little garden. There isn't too much and it's pretty simple.

After transplanting these from a friend's garden three years ago, they are finally growing tall. This was taken a couple days ago and now they are opening up and starting to bloom!

I love just taking pictures of Jackson on the couch sitting by himself.

He really was interested int he camera.

I put one of Jackson's bibs on kitty just to be funny. He didn't care at all and went about his business. He even escaped outside with it on. We made jokes that all the neighbor kitties would make fun of him for wearing it.

Today while Dan was at work, I wore Jackson on my back. He did really good just hanging out while I did chores around the house. Then he fell asleep. I was suprised since it hadn't been very long since his last nap. The back carry worked well though.

Amy is letting us borrow her jumper and Jackson really likes it. He love to watch the lights and monkey while the music plays. He does really well with grabbing them. He can just barely touch the ground, so no real jumping yet.

Dan and I canned cherries yesterday! He wanted canned cherries really bad, so we did it. I've never had canned cherries before, so I'm curious to see what it will taste like.

cousins, swimming and dessert!

Jackson got to meet his newest cousin, Cohen, a couple days ago. Cohens' sister, Elise, is holding him.

Elise and Cohen's brother, Landon, was holding Cohen for the pictures, but Elise wanted to.

Cohen came to visit us at our house two days ago. I can't believe that Jackson is so big! Cohen weighed 8 lbs 2 oz when he was born, so Jackson was even smaller than Cohen (7.0 lbs).

Elise loves to hang out next to Jackson. Such cute cousins.

Today was very warm out, in the mid 90's (F), so we went swimming at our friend Jesse's pool!

Amy and Wyatt came too. Jesse's son, Brady, was tired and was taking a nap, so we didn't get a group picture.

Jackson did great! He really did so much better this time than his first time in the pool at Sunriver. He liked this float and he liked it when I held him looking out and swam him side to side.

And for America's Independence Day tomorrow, I made these mini cupcakes for a BBQ we are going to. They were pretty easy to do. I'm pretty proud of them. I've always wanted to do a festive dessert for the 4th, but never have until today!

stay... good dog

Every once in awhile we let Kaeli get on the couch. She knows it's a special thing too. I had her jump up there and she stayed while I sat Jackson on her. It was so cute. Jackson seemed to think it was pretty neat too.

I forgot to mention, but I have been so fortunate to have a husband that took 3 months of paternity leave from work. He finally had to go back to work last week. I miss him lots when he's at work, it was so nice to have him home so much.

Tomorrow Jackson gets to meet his newest cousin! My sister-in-law, Courtney, had her baby! I'm so excited to see him!

At the pool

I went with Amy and her family to the Sunriver pool on Wed. I've really been wanting to take Jackson swimming, but I think an indoor pool would have been better. But it was still fun. I didn't get any of Jackson in the water with his suit on. These were taken after he got changed into dry clothes and he immediately took a nap.

While he slept we took turns holding him and going down the slide during the 15 min adult time (that happens on the top of every hour). The slide was a lot of fun once we learned how to go faster.

3 months old and rolling over!

Today Jackson is 3 months old!

He is still doing really good. He is such a good baby, I'm just amazed. He doesn't cry much still and sleeps really well. He takes about 4-5 ounces of formula a feeding, which is about every three hours, except at night he'll go longer.

And the big news is that he rolled over today all on his own! He didn't have a diaper on, so that probably helped. He went from his back to his stomach and got his arms out up in front of him, plus he did it twice! I don't know if he really knew what he was doing. Lately he has really been kicking and swinging his legs around getting close to rolling over, but not all the way until today.

I also took him on a walk in his jogger this evening and he made it the whole way in it without crying. Usually I just walk with the moby on, but I burned my shoulders a bit yesterday so I didn't want to wear it. I tried taking him on a walk in the jogger once before around the block, but he cried half way and so I carried him the rest. So I was very happy that he did so good this time. He slept in it half the way and then was quiet and looking all around the rest of the walk.

Here he is trying to eat the giraffe.

I thought this one was cute too.

Jackson is in the moby and smiling at me and the camera through the bathroom mirror.

Yesterday, Jackson went swimming for the first time! I'll try to post a picture soon! He did ok. He was tired and it was really bright out, so we didn't stay in the pool long. But he sure was cute in his swim trunks and shirt!

title? can't think of one

Had to get pictures of Wyatt and Jackson in their matching hats.

On June 7th, Amy, Wyatt, Dan, Jackson and I walked the Heaven Can Wait 5k. We had a good time, plus won a $50 gift certificate! Jackson slept the whole time in the moby wrap, even when we were racing (lightly jogging) to the finish line.

I invited Amy and Laura over to make more strawberry jam! We each made a batch and they turned out a little better looking this time. However, I've tried the last batch and it tastes great!

This weekend, my parents came to town because Jackson got baptised! Here is a shot of my Dad with Jackson.

I made some Australian marshmallow balls last night for Dan for Father's day. They turned out really good, but still aren't exactly like the ones we had in Australia. I'll have to make more to perfect them! Here is the recipe I used, marshmallow balls. I took a bite of one to share what the inside looks like, except they are supposed to be pink marshmallows, but they didn't have those at the store I went to.
